Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Experience in electro-mechanical design, manufacturability, and electronics packaging for space-grade hardware.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, development processes and test methodologies.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, analysis and testing of electro-mechanical systems for space-grade applications.
• Oversee structural and thermal integrity of aerostructures and assemblies via testing, modeling and data evaluation.
• Execute tasks including requirements development, design iteration, prototyping, verification and validation.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools and designs for reliability and efficiency.
• Plan and complete engineering work to meet technical requirements and milestones.
• Collaborate with Cognizant Engineers and cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
• Prepare and present technical documentation, test results, analyses and design updates.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware or test anomalies.
• Maintain configuration control and adherence to engineering standards.
