Job summary

Draper Labs in Houston, TX seeks a Software Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer 2 to develop embedded software for space and defense systems used by the US Government and commercial customers.

You will design GN&C algorithms, implement software, run tests, and document results while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure performance and readiness for mission-critical applications. Clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Software Engineering or related experience.
• BS required; MS or PhD preferred.
• Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python and C/C++.
• Foundational GNC technology knowledge and real-time software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates requirements and proposes solutions for GN&C software designs.
• Designs algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
• Develops embedded GN&C software and proves performance against requirements.
• Analyzes designs and conducts software tests to verify compliance.
• Prepares technical data, reports, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Communicates requirements and delivers design artifacts to customers.
