Job summary

Amentum invites undergrad and graduate students to join the Space Exploration Division GN&C team for a spring internship. You will work on controls, 6-DOF modeling, simulation, and tool development supporting HLSP to ensure safety and mission success for Moon and Mars missions.

Responsibilities include developing software simulations, using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape Multibody, and analyzing launch vehicle dynamics while preparing technical reports and briefings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering/science/CS BS or MS program with good standing.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Access to own transportation to work locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain software simulations, tools, and scripts.
• Create, edit, and debug software written in MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Simscape Multibody.
• Model, simulate, and analyze launch vehicle/spacecraft dynamics and performance.
• Analyze systems in time and frequency domains.
• Support verification and validation of technical products.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings; review engineering/software documentation.
