Must have MS/PhD in Optics or Applied Physics or related disciplines.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and measuring optical components and systems.
Exceptional candidates with a BS in Optics or Applied Physics may enter a training program.

Responsibilities

Solicit, review and process new customer inquiries with design feasibility and scope estimation.
Derive models to estimate manufacturing method and cost for proposals.
Provide technical support to projects including optical design and manufacturing analysis.
Support customers with project briefings and issue resolution to add value.
Prepare and manage customer communications including product and quality data.
Provide technical support to partner companies in Asia and Europe.
Monitor government solicitations to identify new opportunities.
Contribute to web updates and promotional efforts.
Prepare orders forecasts and strategies.
Present technical papers at trade events and symposia.
