Job summary

The ideal candidate will have active Secret clearance, Security+ or DoD 8140-aligned certifications, and 3+ years of cyber defense experience, with strong presentation skills for on-site training.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Security+ certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR qualifying cybersecurity certifications that meet DoD 8140 requirements
• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience
• 3+ years of experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, or related cyber defense technologies
• Experience with Splunk, Elastic, HBSS, or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, traffic analysis, and MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience supporting a SOC, CPT, CSSP, or similar cyber defense organization
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Colorado Springs, CO

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led cybersecurity training to Space Force personnel
• Facilitate hands-on labs focused on cyber defense operations and threat detection
• Present course content covering SIEM, EDR, networking, threat analysis, and cyber defense concepts
• Support development and enhancement of training scenarios, courseware, and student materials
• Collaborate with government and contractor subject matter experts to maintain relevant course content
• Develop realistic cyber threat scenarios and exercises
• Evaluate student performance and provide instructional guidance
• Update training materials as tools, tactics, and mission requirements evolve
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to create professional training deliverables
