Job summary

Allyon is seeking a Cyber Defense & Risk Management Trainer to support USAF cyber training in Colorado Springs. This full-time W-2 role requires active TS/SCI clearance, a technical degree or equivalent certifications, and at least 3+ years of cybersecurity training development experience.

You will design hands-on training, implement RMF/NIST controls, develop labs, and mentor federal clients in incident response and mission assurance, while ensuring training aligns with evolving threats and

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 3+ years cybersecurity experience focusing on training/course development.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with cyber awareness training.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity training development.
• 3+ years with SIEM/IDS/IPS (Elastic Stack, Splunk, HBSS).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux CLI, networking, traffic analysis, MITRE ATT&CK.
• 1+ year in a cybersecurity team (SOC/CPT/CSSP).
• Local to Colorado Springs and onsite five days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver hands-on cyber training.
• Guide DoD clients through risk management, compliance, and mission-critical practices.
• Implement RMF and NIST 800-53 frameworks.
• Create realistic lab scenarios and course materials.
• Mentor clients in incident response and mission assurance.
• Help clients mitigate risk via continuous monitoring and incident response.
• Establish security controls for client systems.
• Develop cyber defense training objectives and instructor/student guides.
• Produce technical labs simulating real threats.
• Tailor training to space mission systems and cyber terrain.
• Use diverse instructional techniques to engage learners.
• Update content to stay current and effective.
• Mentor clients on best practices for cyber incidents and mission planning.
