Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Systems Engineering to lead end-to-end integration of space electromagnetic warfare systems into a cloud-based C2 architecture. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance, domestic travel, and proven multi-disciplinary leadership in NSS/DoD space programs.

On-site positions are available in Colorado Springs, CO, or El Segundo, CA, with a focus on managing complex MD3 interconnections and providing strategic engineering direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related STEM field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in National Security Space (NSS) or defense systems engineering.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary systems engineering for space and ground systems.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and eligibility for SAP; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration of government-owned SEW systems into a next-generation cloud-based C2 architecture.
• Champion critical hardware and C2 capabilities required for cohesive SEW operations.
• Orchestrate integration timelines across multiple Mission Delta 3 systems, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery.
• Shape the future of SEW by solving integration challenges impacting the MD3 mission.
• Perform systems-of-systems engineering to identify integration risks, issues, and gaps (RIGs).
• Communicate plans and system details clearly to government stakeholders and Aerospace leadership.
• Work across program, mission, and stakeholder boundaries to align integration perspectives.
• Provide expert guidance in detailed discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Mission Delta 3 and other contractors to meet evolving requirements.
• Anticipate and respond to Mission Delta needs; travel up to 25%.
