Job summary

Trident Systems in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Electronics Technician to perform functional, operational, and environmental testing of production electronic assemblies for space and defense systems. You will follow standard test procedures, document results, troubleshoot basic issues, and ensure hardware meets performance and quality requirements.

The role requires a detail-oriented, hands-on technical mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience or 2 yrs post-Secondary / Associates Degree with 0-2 yrs prior related experience.
• Experience handling electronics or printed circuit assemblies and electrical test.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new/proprietary software in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in the utilization of computer software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual or automated functional testing, operational and environmental tests to verify the performance and reliability of production assemblies.
• Follow written instructions to execute tasking in a standard and repeatable manner
• Setup and break down testing work area, as per training and instruction, by applying basic electro-mechanical skills
• Determine test outcomes, record results, and recognize when to elevate issues.
• Recommend corrections, improvements to test procedures and/or processes
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Comfortable using various meters and tools including multimeters, signal generators, etc.
• Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
• Experience working in a team-based environment, ideally in production setting, where accurate and complete work is critical to next step in line.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
