Job summary

Rocketdyne seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Mason, OH to lead a team responsible for developing, implementing, and improving operational efficiency, on-time delivery, processes, systems, and tools. You will partner with product engineering, quality, suppliers, and customers to support new-product introduction, improve performance, and deliver measurable results.

The role requires strong leadership, electronics manufacturing experience, and the ability to drive data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field with extensive relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in electronics production manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop data-driven solutions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to brief senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing engineering team, while supporting the master production plan.
• Develop and execute short-term manufacturing engineering operational plans aligned with business objectives.
• Define, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, systems, and engineering strategies for new and existing products.
• Partner with engineering project teams to coordinate manufacturing readiness and release of new products.
• Evaluate manufacturability, process capability, capacity, cost, quality, and cycle-time requirements.
• Estimate and track manufacturing costs; establish time standards and recommend tooling, automation, and process improvements through capital.
• Lead root-cause investigations for complex manufacturing, quality, and process performance issues; implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Drive significant improvements in processes, systems, products, and manufacturing solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Establish and maintain records, metrics, and reporting systems that support coordination and performance of manufacturing operations.
• Communicate manufacturing engineering plans, risks, recommendations, and results to internal leaders, customers, and cross-functional partners.
• Influence changes to manufacturing policies, practices, standards, and approaches across the organization.
• Manage assigned projects and processes within established budgets.
