Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 6+ years of progressive engineering experience with a bachelor's, 4+ years with a master's, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Experience with satellite programs including design, integration, and test of satellite buses.
• Basic understanding of launch and flight operations of space vehicles.
• Proficiency in C for embedded systems.
• Experience with RF circuitry and RF engineering principles is a plus.
• Strong FPGA development experience with firmware design, implementation and verification.
• Experience with Linux software development environment.
• Familiarity with small satellite electronics and power-constrained systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement digital and analog hardware including PCB layout and board testing.
• Create and debug high-density circuitry for sensing and control.
• Perform I&T of electronics hardware and embedded systems with lab tools.
• Design RF electronics and/or FPGA firmware as needed.
• Document engineering solutions and ensure compliance and safety standards.
• Collaborate with spacecraft payloads and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
