Gauge Engineering Services seeks an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support spacecraft and ground systems. The role encompasses requirements development, interface management, power analysis, system integration, and MBSE-based architectures across space and ground segments.

The ideal candidate has aerospace or defense program experience, collaborates across engineering disciplines, and brings MBSE to maintain system architectures. Onsite with hybrid flexibility is offered.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or electrical systems engineering.
• Experience with PCB, FPGA-based systems, or embedded electronics.
• Experience in aerospace, space, satellite, or mission-critical electronic systems.
• Experience developing and managing ICDs.
• Strong systems engineering mindset: requirements, traceability, verification and validation.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in complex environments.
• Familiarity with secure boot architectures and cybersecurity implementation.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Mansioni

• Support development, decomposition, and management of electrical subsystem, box-level, and system-level requirements for space and ground architectures.
• Develop and maintain Electrical ICDs, interface definitions, and system architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, thermal, cybersecurity, EMI/EMC, and software teams for integration and compliance.
• Perform electrical power analysis, load assessments, and power budgeting for spacecraft and ground systems.
• Support electrical system integration, verification, validation, and test planning.
• Develop and maintain electrical architecture models and MBSE artifacts (ICDs, IBDs, etc.).
• Maintain grounding architectures and electrical interface drawings.
• Ensure system requirements traceability and verification planning across subsystems.
• Contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning, and opportunity management.
• Coordinate engineering tasks and resolve blockers; deliver technical briefings and design reviews.
• Support secure boot processes and cybersecurity considerations within hardware, firmware, and software.
• Prepare presentations for engineering leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
