Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Manager Electrical Engineering - Level 2 to lead a team of Electrical Engineers and collaborate with program management, systems engineering, and flight hardware design.

This dual-hat role blends section management (up to 20%) with hands-on technical responsibilities (80%+). A Top Secret clearance is required, and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience.
• Requires an active US Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Knowledge of spacecraft sub-assemblies and/or integration and test.
• Experience as an electrical/electronics engineer, Test Conductor, or System Test Engineer.
• Programming experience with Python, C, C++, Perl.
• Experience as a functional manager.
• Experience in space systems and space system production, integration and test.
• Experience in Program project management.

Responsibilities

• Staffing support to space systems program.
• Conducting quarterly performance evaluations and annual reviews.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to the staff.
• Managing indirect, program direct, and capital needs.
• Professional development and mentoring of direct reports.
• Supporting Functional Homeroom initiatives and projects including process improvement and action implementation.
• Generating test procedures, electrical test equipment, and data reviews.
• Understanding integration and test processes from factory processing through launch campaigns.
