Job Responsibilities

The Line Operator is responsible for operating, threading, and supplying the tunnel and accumulator. Additional duties include patrolling and monitoring machine operation to ensure the production of the desired packages.

  • Ensure no stop marks in the accumulator or on the belt
  • Doff off the winder
  • Replace ends when the winder breaks out
  • Apply correct labels on cones
  • Maintain a clean work area, including trash removal, cleaning winders, and floors
  • Prepare lubrication for machines
  • Monitor color differences in dyed yarn and verify with correct doff information
  • Remove stop marks when the machine stops
  • Assist other line operators to keep machinery running smoothly
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Performance Expectations
  • Lift up to 15 pounds to handle creel equipment and walk to and from the winder/creel
  • Bend and stand to reach post and tubes of creel racks from 1' to 6.5' high
  • Push a loaded yarn cart weighing up to 450 lbs
