The Line Operator is responsible for operating, threading, and supplying the tunnel and accumulator. Additionally, the Line Operator patrols and monitors the running of the machines to ensure the production of the desired packages.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure there are no stop marks in the accumulator or coming down the belt.
• Doff off winder.
• Replace ends when the winder breaks out.
• Apply correct labels on cones.
• Maintain a clean work area, including emptying trash, cleaning winders, and sweeping the floor.
• Prepare lubrication for machines.
• Check for color differences on dyed yarn.
• Verify color and record correct doff information.
• Remove stop marks when the machine stops.
• Assist other line operators to keep all machinery running smoothly.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Performance Expectations:

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds to creel for most of your shift and walk to and from the winder/creel.
• Must be able to bend down and stand to reach posts and tubes of creel racks ranging from 1' to 6.5' high throughout the entire shift.
• Must be able to push a cart loaded with yarn weighing up to 450 lbs.
