Job summary

Kforce Inc in McLean, VA seeks a Space Defense Mission Analyst to lead datacenter network architecture for critical national security programs. You will craft scalable, resilient network designs for DoD environments, applying SDN, transport, and security best practices to meet evolving threats.

As lead architect, you will guide a team of engineers, work with cross-domain requirements, and ensure 20+ spoke sites and multi-vendor deployments remain highly available and compliant with IC needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a network engineering lead or architect for large DoD networks.
• Experience with software defined networks.
• Experience designing highly available datacenter networks with 20+ distributed spoke sites.
• Knowledge of L2-L4 networking across protocols in multi-vendor environments.
• Knowledge of modern network architecture and best practices, including Spine-Leaf.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Space Defense Mission Analyst. The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable our C2 clients to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs. Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a seasoned C2 Datacenter Network Architect who knows how to develop the exact network the Intelligence Community needs. As the lead network architect for our team, you'll use your experience in datacenter network architecture and design to support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversarial threats. You'll be responsible for the design and implementation of a critical network datacenter for a high-priority mission partner. You'll apply your expertise in software defined networks, transport, and security as you guide our team of problem-solvers to develop tomorrow's next-generation network.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• 7+ years of experience as a network engineering lead or architect for large Enterprise DoD Networks
• Experience with software defined networks
• Experience designing highly available datacenter networks with 20+ distributed spoke sites
• Knowledge of L2-L4 networking across protocols in multi-vendor environments
• Knowledge of modern network architecture and best practices, including Spine-Leaf

Nice To Have Skills

• Cisco CCIE Certification
• Experience supporting enterprise intelligence networks such as JWICS, JADC2, NC3, or C3BMC
• Experience planning and provisioning DISN Network Transport
• Experience implementing Next Generation Firewalls and SD-WAN
• Experience developing hybrid cloud networks
• Experience with cross-domain and multi-layer enclave solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
