Job summary

You will collaborate with FPGA, RF, and systems engineers to translate system-level requirements into robust, real-time software implementations that enable reliable on-orbit performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing embedded software in C or C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS development, or bare metal firmware.
• Experience designing software for real-time systems or high reliability applications.
• Experience integrating software with custom digital hardware such as FPGA based systems.
• Experience with software-hardware debugging using tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, or protocol analyzers.
• Experience with configuration management, automated testing, CI / CD, and automated build systems.
• Experience with software architecture design, communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, or LVDS, and hardware abstraction layers.
• Experience using MATLAB or Python for algorithm development or data evaluation.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded software architectures interfacing with FPGA-based processing pipelines and spacecraft subsystems.
• Translate system level requirements into robust, real-time software implementations.
• Collaborate with FPGA, RF, and systems engineers to ensure seamless interaction between software and onboard electronics.
• Guide cross-domain hardware-software teams to meet mission requirements and performance goals.
