Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design, implement, and verify software for satellite-grade systems. You will work closely with FPGA, RF, and systems engineers to ensure reliable on-orbit performance through real-time software implementations.

The role requires 3+ years in embedded C/C++, familiarity with embedded Linux or RTOS, and a Secret clearance. You will contribute to cross-disciplinary teams focused on digital design, verification, and system

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience
• Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS
• Experience designing software for real-time or high-reliability systems
• Experience integrating software with FPGA-based hardware
• Software-hardware debugging using analyzers and oscilloscopes
• Experience with configuration management, automated testing and CI/CD
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, LVDS interfaces and hardware abstraction layers
• Experience with Python or MATLAB for algorithm development or data evaluation
• Secret clearance is required
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded software architectures for satellite-related systems
• Collaborate with FPGA, RF, and systems engineers to ensure software-hardware integration
• Translate system-level requirements into robust real-time software implementations
• Support debugging and validation across hardware and software domains
