Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Albuquerque, NM (onsite) is hiring a Software Engineer, Data Systems to architect, design, develop, and test data systems handling large data and video for the Rocky program. The role involves cross-functional work with space and ground assets, and supports rapid capability development.

The position emphasizes software engineering fundamentals, ETL, databases, and modern frameworks; active Top Secret clearance is required or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 3+ years' experience with large DBMS (SQL) and database design.
• Foundational CS knowledge and OO design patterns.
• Knowledge of ETL processes (e.g., SSIS) and data backup/recovery techniques.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, and analyses of user interfaces of software systems.
• Partners with stakeholders to translate software requirements and models to meet needs.
• Leads completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities.
• Leads software engineers to complete code reviews ensuring alignment to requirements and standards.
• Leads review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.
• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.
