Job summary

Voyager Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking an EEE Parts Component Engineer I to develop component requirements and manage parts selection and obsolescence for advanced space programs. You will coordinate with design, supply chain, and reliability teams to ensure quality and design adherence.

The role emphasizes part standardization, ECAD library maintenance, and PCN/GIDEP alert review, with multi‑project support and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of EEE parts qualification and screening requirements.
• Knowledge of JEDEC, EIA, IPC standards and NASA/ESA space standards.
• Knowledge of ECMP and quality assurance practices for electronic components.
• Familiarity with space design requirements and components such as passive/active parts, connectors, and cables.
• Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams with good communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop component requirements, parts selection, and address obsolescence.
• Coordinate with Engineering (Project/Design/Manufacturing) to ensure design conformance.
• Drive part standardization and reuse of parts in the ECAD database.
• Maintain ECAD library and introduce new parts; review PCNs and GIDEP alerts.
• Support Data Management and Part Number Management activities.
