Job summary

Voyager Technologies is hiring an EEE Parts Component Engineer to lead parts selection, management, and quality control for advanced space programs. You will work with design, supply chain, QA, and reliability teams to address obsolescence and counterfeit parts in a lean environment.

You will coordinate with engineering and vendors to ensure component qualifications, while driving part standardization and data management through the ECAD library.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience; graduate degree with 6+ years; or 15+ years of experience without a degree.
  • Experience with component obsolescence tools and methods.
  • Experience with end-of-life management, COTS, and counterfeit parts.
  • Experience in setting up EDM and Parts Management practices.
  • Understanding EEE parts qualification and screening requirements.
  • Knowledge of JEDEC, EIA, IPC standards and military/NASA/ESA standards.
  • Knowledge of ECMP QA practices for Electronic Component Management.
  • Knowledge of space design requirements, PCB CAD designs, and vendor capabilities.
  • Knowledge of high-density interconnects, RF/microwave, and high-speed digital.
  • Experience with passive and active electronic components and related topics.
  • Understanding analysis techniques like thermal, structural, impedance control.
  • Strong configuration management and traceability knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally; strong communication.
  • Multi-tasking across projects and production support.
  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead parts selection, parts management, parts creation, and quality control.
  • Support development of high-technology space programs across all lifecycle phases.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, supply chain, quality, and reliability teams to ensure design adherence.
  • Review PCNs and GIDEP alerts and advise teams on impacts.
  • Drive part standardization by re-using parts in the database where appropriate.
  • Maintain ECAD library and manage new part introductions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and distributors on roadmaps and compliance.
