Astrotech Space Operations is seeking a full-time Communications Technician in Titusville, Florida. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and upgrading network and communication systems to support mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Must understand TCP/IP network switching and routing, VoIP telephone systems, Copper CAT5 cabling/patching, and multifunction printers/copiers.
• Knowledge of Fiber Optic Systems/Patching, IP Camera Systems, Wireless Networking (Wi‑Fi), CCTV Video Distribution, GPS Timing Systems, and RF transmission theory is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or trade certification preferred; CompTIA Security+ preferred, not required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Communications, Networking, or IT.
• Must be able to obtain TS security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on programming, setup, maintenance, and upgrades of network and communications systems for mission requirements.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot mission-specific hardware, voice communications, computer systems, telephones, televisions, CCTV cameras, and Access Control Systems.
• Manage fiber optic maintenance and cabling; focus on switches, routers, firewalls, and other hardware appliances.
