Job summary

CTS Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Digital Communications Space Systems Engineer (2–5 years) to support modeling, simulation, and analysis for next‑generation space systems in El Segundo, CA.

You will perform waveform, link, and capacity analyses across multi‑vehicle architectures and collaborate with cross‑discipline teams. The role emphasizes DSP fundamentals, constellation trade studies, and the optimization of space‑level resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, computer or aerospace engineering.
• 2–5 years of MS&A or satellite comms experience.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for scientific computing.
• Strong foundation in DSP and digital communications.
• Experience with RF link budgets and MILSATCOM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Model, design, and analyze end-to-end communications systems using waveform and network analysis.
• Conduct constellation-level trade studies and performance analyses for multi-vehicle space architectures.
• Optimize dynamic resource scheduling, including time, RF bandwidth, and onboard storage.
• Review simulation models and maintain version control with Git/GitLab.
• Present results clearly to stakeholders to inform program decisions.
