Job summary
Peraton in Herndon, VA seeks a Cloud Engineer to design, automate, and operate mission-critical cloud infrastructure for the EMMETT Space Programs initiative. You will leverage IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration to deliver secure, scalable services to Agile teams working in classified environments.
The role requires TS/SCI with poly, 5+ years of related experience, and hands-on Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- TS clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to pass polygraph.
- 4+ years in cloud engineering, automation, or orchestration.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP).
- Hands-on cloud platform experience with IaC and automation tools.
- Containerization/orchestration proficiency (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate cloud infrastructure and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release orchestration.
- Harden and secure systems with DevSecOps, PKI, and identity integration.
- Monitor reliability and observability across networks, OS, containers, and cloud services.
- Develop and maintain engineering artifacts and configuration management for repeatable operations.
