MDW Associates, LLC invites applications for an Intermediate Budget Analyst to support the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and the Science and Technology Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on strategic budget execution, planning, and resource management in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

The position is on-site in Huntsville, requiring regular in-person collaboration with NASA customers and project teams.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills to accurately analyze financial data using advanced tools and processes.
• Proficient MS Office Applications including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of and experience with Power BI.
• Knowledge of automated financial systems and budgetary report generation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (as demonstrated through past performance in preparing financial reports and documents).
• Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Partner with Principal Investigators and project teams to support financial planning and budget execution.
• Analyze budget and workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, spending plans, phasing plans, and budget submissions.
• Monitor project funding and expenditures while providing strategic recommendations to optimize resources.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and detailed variance analyses for management review.
• Assist with PPBE activities and related budget formulation efforts.
• Utilize Power BI and other data analytics tools to create meaningful insights and support data-driven decision making.
• Assist with cost proposal development and financial planning for research initiatives.
• Collaborate with NASA Headquarters resource and financial personnel to resolve issues and provide budget information.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and enhance financial management practices.
