Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking an Electrical Build Technician in Redondo Beach to fabricate, assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems used in spacecraft testing and ground-support equipment. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to build reliable test assets and improve assembly processes.

The role requires 3+ years of experience with industrial or aerospace equipment, proficiency with schematics, and hands-on electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• 3+ years building, wiring, maintaining, or troubleshooting industrial or aerospace test equipment.
• Experience with AC and DC power systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to assemble from BOMs and from detailed work instructions.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as DMMs and power supplies.
• Strong mechanical fabrication and assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, wire, and maintain electrical test equipment, control panels, ground-support systems.
• Build electrical assemblies from schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Install and terminate power, control, instrumentation, and data-acquisition wiring.
• Assemble enclosures, DIN-rail components, power supplies, relays, and control hardware.
• Perform continuity and insulation checks, functional testing, and equipment checkout.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, networking, and control-system issues.
• Support calibration and maintenance for automated test equipment.
• Document as-built conditions and wiring changes.
• Collaborate with engineers and software teams to improve reliability and throughput.
• Provide training on assembly and checkout processes.
