Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Washington, seeks an engineer to design, build, and commission electrical test equipment for the Blue Moon lunar lander program. You will develop data acquisition and control systems, manage build activities, and support installation of test hardware, harnesses, and grounding.

On-site work in Kent, WA is required as part of a small, multi-functional team. You will gather customer specifications, create electrical design packages, and ensure quality and safety in testing of

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering, or related technical degree.
  • Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing of analog/digital/application.
  • Ability to produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of the avionics test systems.
  • Support a development environment with open box testing and card to card level testing.
  • Create and release drawings of the test hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes/panels, power distribution, and grounding.
  • Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses.
  • Support the integration of flight avionics, hardware, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of avionics units under test.
  • Support checkout of the avionics systems and solving technical problems.
  • Maintain configuration control of the drawings and the test system configuration.
  • Support problem investigation and resolution.
