Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Space Architecture Performance Specialist to lead development and maintenance of sophisticated simulation tools for space-based remote sensing architectures. You will translate customer needs into objectives, mentor teams, and deliver technically accurate analyses to government leaders and program offices.

Eligible candidates should have a strong background in modeling and simulation, plus space domain expertise and a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or related discipline.
• 8 years of progressively technical modeling and simulation experience.
• Proficiency with Python, C++, Fortran, or MATLAB.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with space-related modeling, geolocation, signal and image processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to perform assessments using in-house analysis tools for space-based sensing architectures.
• Maintain quality M&S standards and coordinate software requirements with ETG.
• Mentor junior staff and plan bench depth in department capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into project objectives and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and present technical analyses and communicate results to leads and customers.
• Support development and sustainment of simulation tools and capabilities.
