Job summary

Vista Springs is seeking a Spa Specialist for our assisted living community. This full-time role provides routine daily care, including personal hygiene assistance, to residents with compassion and dignity.

You will follow schedules, report skin issues to Health and Wellness staff, and participate in ongoing education within our Joy in Work environment at an award-winning community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • First aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily resident care including personal hygiene.
  • Provide bath or shower assistance for residents.
  • Assist residents with dressing and grooming.
  • Communicate any skin issues to Health and Wellness staff.
  • Shampoo hair and trim facial hair when needed.
  • Observe and follow all Vista Springs policies and procedures.
  • Attend required in-service education and staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Purpose

The Spa Specialist is responsible for providing routine daily care to all assigned community members. They assist community member with personal hygiene as well as participate in the daily care of the community members. They are responsible for ensuring community members receive personal hygiene care assistance according to schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with community member care:
  • Provide compassionate support with activities of daily living and basic personal care needs;
  • Provide bath or shower assistance for community member care.
  • Assist community members with dressing and grooming care.
  • Spa Specialist will communicate any community member skin issues to Health and Wellness Officer/Director or Coordinator
  • Spa Specialist will shampoo hair and trim facial hair on community members if needed.
  • Assist community members with general care:
  • Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude towards the community members and co-workers;
  • Visit with community members.
  • Communicate community member issues to Health and Wellness Officer/Director or Coordinator
  • Perform additional duties as needed;
  • Observe the policies and procedures of Vista Springs at all times.
  • Attend all required in-service education and staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Job Duties or Responsibilities
  1. Occasional errands.
  2. Assisting community members as needed.
  3. Ability to assist and supervise during an emergency.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), no prior experience necessary

Computer Skills

Must have basic knowledge of operating a computer and familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook in a windows environment.
