El Encanto is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Director of Spa & Retail to lead the strategy, experience, and financial performance of our Spa, Wellness, and Retail operations.

This role is ideal for a luxury hospitality leader who brings together an exceptional understanding of the guest experience with strong commercial and financial acumen. The Director will be responsible for evolving El Encanto’s spa and wellness offerings, growing retail and treatment revenues, cultivating meaningful partnerships, and positioning the Spa as a destination for both hotel guests and the Santa Barbara community.

What You’ll Lead

Spa, Wellness & Guest Experience

• Lead the overall Spa, Wellness, and Retail experience, ensuring exceptional service and a distinctive luxury environment.
• Develop compelling treatments, wellness experiences, seasonal programming, and local partnerships that evolve with guest and market demand.
• Collaborate across the hotel to integrate wellness into guest stays, packages, events, VIP experiences, and property programming.

Business Growth & Retail Strategy

• Develop and execute strategies to grow Spa & Retail revenue, profitability, utilization, average spend, and guest engagement.
• Lead retail assortment, merchandising, pricing, inventory strategy, vendor partnerships, and opportunities for exclusive and locally relevant products.
• Use business trends and performance data to optimize pricing, treatment utilization, labor productivity, retail conversion, and overall financial performance.
• Identify new partnerships, memberships, events, programming, and revenue opportunities that strengthen El Encanto’s presence in the Santa Barbara market.

Leadership & Strategic Partnerships

• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team committed to exceptional hospitality, wellness, and commercial performance.
• Own departmental budgeting, forecasting, labor, expenses, inventory, and financial results in partnership with Finance and hotel leadership.
• Develop strong relationships with hotel ownership and ownership representatives, supporting strategic initiatives, presentations, property visits, and continued investment in the Spa & Retail experience.
• Serve as a collaborative hotel leader, partnering with the General Manager and Executive Team on property-wide priorities and the continued growth and positioning of El Encanto.

Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time

Salary Range $100,000 Annually
