Job summary

The Essex Resort & Spa in Vermont is seeking a friendly Spa Receptionist to welcome guests, check them in, and maintain a calm, professional atmosphere at the spa front desk. You will use spa software to manage bookings, handle check-ins/outs, and support fitness and relaxation areas.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, customer service experience, and good computer skills. The role pays $17/hour plus service charges and commissions, with comprehensive benefits and on-site perks.

Basic Function

Spa Receptionist are responsible for checking guest in at the Spa, while maintaining a professional and calm atmosphere.

Essential Function:

• Provide a professional and friendly attitude to all customers and employees.
• Check guest in and out effectively using Spa software.
• Meet guest needs: fitness room, locker room, relaxation area.
• Knowledge of retail products and services offered in the Spa and Resort.
• Maintain a cash bank effectively.
• On time attendance and dress code required.

Marginal Function:

• Work cooperatively with other departments.
• Perform special task as requested by the Director of the Spa, Manager and supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of facility daily.

Qualifications - Education, Knowledge, Training & Work Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Previous experience in customer service preferred.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Pay rate is $17/hour + service charges & commissions.
