Job summary

Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX, is seeking a Spa Supervisor to lead daily spa operations, enforce standards, and mentor a growing team.

You will manage training, scheduling, inventory, and guest services, while partnering with management to deliver a premium wellness experience at our urban oasis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and budgeting.
• Experience managing retail inventory and meeting budget goals.
• Knowledge of current wellness trends and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to spa standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist spa management with training, inventory, payroll, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Lead and motivate the team during daily operations.
• Maintain inventory control and cost-effective usage of spa materials.
• Provide guests with information on packages, hours, and services.
• Educate guests and offer home-care recommendations.
• Maintain high customer service standards with spa guests and staff.
• Address guest feedback promptly and diplomatically.
• Support safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and arranged for repairs as needed.
• Communicate across departments to meet outlet needs.
• Fill in as needed to ensure spa operations run smoothly.
• Attend meetings and participate in financial reviews.

ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a SPA SUPERVISOR

An urban oasis, tucked away off of Main Street in the heart of Fredericksburg, TX, Albert Hotel offers a peaceful yet sophisticated luxury experience in Texas's famed Hill Country. Opened in January 2025, the property features 105 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites, along with uniquely designed bunk rooms and a private house with custom furnishings, locally-curated amenities, and thoughtful touches.

With the guest experience in mind, Albert's elevated amenities include a sunken limestone pool featuring an outdoor bar and cabanas, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 2,000-square-foot full-service spa. Additionally, the property is home to four on-site culinary outlets, including The Wellhouse and Junebug’s BBQ.

Albert boasts 3,600-square-foot of semi-open air event space, a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine deck, and an expansive event lawn, making it a prime destination for weddings, private events, and intimate gatherings.

What you'll do:

• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
• Assist spa management with training, product inventory, payroll, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Actively lead and encourage high performance from all team members during daily operations
• Assist with ordering of equipment and supplies, and maintain inventory control for all spa areas, including storage and cost-effective usage of all department-related materials and assets to ensure a smooth operation
• Be knowledgeable about Fredericksburg, Albert Hotel, and The Spa and able to provide direction to guests to include packages and products offered, hours of operation, class schedules, and the adventurous offerings of our scenic surroundings.
• Educate guests and provide feedback, resources, and recommendations for continued care at home.
• Maintain a high level of customer service standards in all interactions with spa guests and hotel staff.
• Resolve all guest feedback in a promptly and diplomatically ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
• Utilize a continuous improvement approach to identify development opportunities, and leverage creativity, and flexibility in determining solutions, plans, and execution
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of all spa facilities including coordinating special requirements with housekeeping, laundry, and engineering
• Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition; arrange for equipment purchases and repairs as needed
• Ensure staff has a complete understanding of their job requirements and sufficient training before holding them accountable for results
• Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the spa
• Attend relevant meetings, including monthly financial reviews; review numbers, identify problems, plan solutions, and set goals

Who you are:

• You have 2+ years of supervisory experience preferably in a hospitality setting.
• You have a CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• You have previous cash handling experience.
• You have experience managing retail inventory and meeting budget goals
• You possess knowledge of current wellness trends, including personal knowledge of various therapies, treatments, ingredients, and innovations.
• You believe in hospitality, deeply and passionately.
• You know how important relationships are and you find joy in growing and maintaining new ones.
• You use your time wisely and are an expert in prioritizing and multi-tasking.
• You're thorough, have excellent communication and pay close attention to detail.
• You're patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations.
