Spa & Health Club Manager
Location: Skamania Lodge — Stevenson, WA | Columbia River Gorge
Salary: $80,000/year

Nestled on a stunning 175-acre resort in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, Skamania Lodge is renowned for its natural beauty and extraordinary hospitality. Our Spa Manager is integral in boosting business success, shaping exceptional services, and fostering a supportive and positive work culture.

Your Role:

The Spa Manager will lead all aspects of Skamania Lodge’s spa, fitness center, locker rooms, and pool operations with a strong focus on maximizing revenue and profitability. This role is responsible for driving service sales, optimizing product and treatment offerings, and identifying new opportunities to grow revenue streams. You will lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring operational efficiency and enhancing the resort’s overall wellness portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in conducting monthly trend statistics on treatments and peak operating times.
  • Consistently researches and recommends changes in retail and professional products, keeping abreast of market and industry trends/changes.
  • Implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve departmental financial budgeting goals and expectations.
  • Develops and recommends department products, programs, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver accurate forecasting projections for areas of responsibility and implement effective adjustments as required in staffing and other cost drivers to ensure margin integrity.
  • Coordinate spa packages and analyze service metrics to optimize performance.
  • Creates a team that meets all aspects of professionalism and service demands, ensuring that the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
  • Promotes and champions resort culture and guiding principles, leads this process on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and functionality, overseeing equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Spa, Pool, and Fitness Center, ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed in Massage Therapy or Esthetics (required)
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrated success in revenue growth, budgeting, and strategy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS/Booking systems (SpaSoft preferred)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience in retail/inventory management and guest engagement
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

The Schedule:

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed in a 24/7 resort environment. This position oversees staffing of the following:

  • Spa Hours: Open daily from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Pool Hours: Open daily from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
