Overview

Opportunity: Spa Director

Oversee the day to day operations of the Spa and Salon including the salon’s operational needs, guest service, and any employment related issues or need. All responsibilities should be performed in accordance with departmental, property and company policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage operational functions consistent with strategic plan and vision for the department and property.
  • Gather the input of all parties involved in the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products and services, and implements the best possible solutions to fit the Spa/Salon’s needs.
  • Manage the delivery of guest service consistent with company’s and property’s core service standards.
  • Supervise Managers and Spa/Salon staff to ensure they adhere and enforce company and Spa/Salon policies and procedures as well as being alert to their duties and responsibilities.
  • Manage and monitor operational budget and profit & loss review.
  • Review month to month financials and reports to determine gain or loss in profit margin and determine how to correct or justify.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits, and ensure all staff is practicing safe work habits including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service and leadership experience of a luxury, high end spa required, two to five years of experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spa/Salon and fitness industry required.
  • Food and Beverage experience preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication required.
  • Knowledge of general health and sanitation codes.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
