SUMMARY

Spanish Peaksis a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 50 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.

As a Lead Server at the Aspire Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch dining experiences at Spanish Peaks. You will oversee daily operations in the dining area, mentor and train junior staff, and ensure that all service standards are met and exceeded. This position will require you to interact one on one with the members, take their orders, suggest beverages utilizing company service standards, and ensure member satisfaction. In addition to responsibilities in the restaurant, this position is also responsible for preparing, working, and resetting private and club events when necessary. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. The Lead Server is the prime example of what is expected from a server at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by club managers and chefs.
• Lead and coordinate the serving team to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods.
• Assist in ordering supplies and alcohol by maintaining par levels at the direction of the Manager
• Guiding guests through all phases of their experience in the restaurant while commanding full menu knowledge and preparation methods at all times.
• Adhere to all training guidelines for all new/rehired associates
• Anticipate the members’ and guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
• Set up events according to event specifications, including buffets, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decorations.
• Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed.
• Work closely with event manager, restaurant manager, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth event execution.
• Clean and reset event spaces at the conclusion of the event
• Cleaning all spills, and broken glassware/dishes immediately, using floor signs when necessary
• Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department.
• Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other Associates.
• Ability to multi-task between different tables at different points of their dining experience
• Assist in training team to up sell both alcoholic beverages and food specials
• Provide members and guests with a seamless luxury experience
• Enforce all State and Federal laws regarding liquor sales
• Assist F&B management in training and guiding all new and rehired servers and server attendants
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (5) years restaurant experience and/or 3-4 years’ of server experience in a hotel, private club or similar restaurant establishment.
• Excellent customer service skills and an in-depth knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food are required.
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to multi-task is required

• Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure
• Ability to read and write in English proficiently as well as having basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.
• Must be punctual and have regular and reliable attendance.
• Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, energetic and a willing learner
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most work shifts and tasks are performed indoors but may have some tasks and/or shifts assigned outdoors. Indoor temperature is moderate and controlled by the clubhouse environmental systems. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 7 hours in length. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware, up to 50 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
