Job summary

BSN SPORTS, A VARSITY BRANDS COMPANY, is hiring a Production Associate (Screen Print Specialist) in McClellan Park, CA. You will perform digital print, embroidery or screen print tasks, ensure quality, and support the press team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, cleaning work areas, and meeting customer specifications. HS diploma required; bilingual ability is a bonus; overtime may apply during peak season from July to December.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist press operator with loading, ink application, and squeegee changes.
• Operate machinery to coat, reclaim, image and develop screens.
• Move materials using pallet jack and RF scanner to staging areas.

WORK HOURS Monday - Friday, 2am - 10pm

Full Time Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.

Peak Season (July-December) Requirements

Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays .

As a Screen Print Specialist , you are responsible for ensuring that each athlete we serve looks their best and compete with confidence. You'll work in one of the following roles: Digital Print, Embroidery, or Screen Print. General responsibilities include:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensure that your machine and work area is cleaned during their shift and before shift end, including disposing all trash and plastic bags, cleaning ink spills, clean all used screens and squeegees by scrapping off excess ink and put in the proper area.
• Maintenance of the machine includes ensuring that the press is kept clean and wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
• Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
• Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
• Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.
• Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
• Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.
• Operation of machinery is used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.
• Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.
• Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
• Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
• Learn tasks quickly, accurately driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.

• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
• Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• Previous warehouse experience is a bonus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
