Job description

Hexcel invites you to join our Pottsville, PA location as a SP/Bond Operator. The role involves expertise in advanced composite manufacturing and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Accurately record data legibly in the router in real time and using the RF Smart guns, recording transactions in real time.
• Verify that products are within tolerances using measuring devices such as protractors, scales, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Inspect and set up a variety of hand and power tools, including band saw, hand router, air sander, cookie cutter, and hand sander.
• For Special Process Operators, train and work on equipment such as roll formers, heated platen presses, IR ovens, arc expanders, X‑Y duplicators, table routers, drill presses, drum/belt sanders, and other necessary equipment.
• For Bonders, train and work on equipment such as roll formers, die presses, heated platen presses, ply‑cutters, drum/belt sanders, IR ovens, table saws, and other necessary equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of manufacturing experience; experience with small hand and power tools is a plus.
• Experience working with handheld scanners and interacting with MRP or inventory control systems is preferred.
• Must be an active Quality Delegate or be able to pass the requirement to become a Quality Delegate.
• Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
