Job summary

About the Role

Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites technology, is seeking a Finishing Operator at its Pottsville, PA, USA location. The selected individual will perform various finishing tasks for composite parts.

Responsibilities

• Clean out core debris prior to shipping.
• Verify product is within tolerances using measuring devices including protractors, scales, calipers, micrometers and other inspection tools.
• Repair product defects such as open nodes, split cell walls, bond lines and other surface repairs.
• Perforate, trim or sand to meet customer specifications.
• Prepare parts for shipping, including kitting, pre-packing as required, and properly store parts in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Experience with small hand and power tools (plus).
• Basic computer skills – WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Experience with handheld scanners and interaction with MRP or inventory control systems (preferred).
