Job summary

Bunge in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a Process Operator to join a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. The role starts at $27.73 per hour and involves operating soybean processing equipment, data recording, and ensuring safety and quality across the plant.

You will participate in safety programs, follow HACCP guidelines, and cross-train in all processes while maintaining a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
• Some mechanical background including the ability to recognize signs of operational failure.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English for record keeping and training processes.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Must actively participate in Employee Safety Involvement Plan.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.
• Follow HAACP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and quality.
• Operate and control soybean processing equipment/machines.
• Record data, secure samples and perform process control tests.
• Make adjustments and maintain operating parameters.
• General housekeeping of the plant.
• Cross train in all processes.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Commit to supply safe food and uphold the food safety culture.
