Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Soybean Meal Mill Technician I to monitor and operate our milling equipment for feed-grade soybean meal. You will test product quality, assist with loading and unloading bulk shipments, and maintain accurate production records in a GMP-compliant environment.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, safety-minded approach, and teamwork. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1–2 years in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic quality tests on soybean meal to ensure standards are met.
• Assist in loading and unloading bulk truckloads and hopper bottoms.
• Maintain sanitary schedules and a safe work environment per GMP.
• Complete paperwork for production records and follow all company policies.

Position Summary:As a Soybean Meal Mill Technician I, you are responsible for the operation and monitoring of our equipment that produces high quality feed grade soybean meal. As a self-motivated, safety-minded, reliable team member with a strong mechanical aptitude, your primary duties will include monitoring equipment operation, conducting basic troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will be trained to test product quality, load and unload bulk tanker trucks and hopper bottoms, and maintain accurate production records. A qualified individual must possess a strong work ethic, be customer-focused, strong mechanical aptitude, commitment to safety and team collaboration, hardworking and have the desire to work as a team member.Duties & Responsibilities:Monitor, operate and learn to troubleshoot our milling process for feed grade soybean meal in a safe and efficient manner.Conduct basic quality tests on soybean meal products to ensure compliance with standards.Assist in the loading and unloading of bulk truckloads of soybeans and finished products.Maintain designated sanitary schedule and a safe work environment to United Cooperative standards.Maintain a professional image and provide superior customer service.Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of production.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers and customers.Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, refinery operations or similar industry experience.Strong mechanical aptitude.Good verbal and written communication.Desire to work in and contribute to a strong team environment.Dependable and self-motivated.Agriculture/farm background preferred.Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:Able to work a 12-hour shift (6pm-6am), schedule is 3-2-2, so working every other weekend.Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, use fine finger movements and push/pull, carry/lift light to heavy loads up to 50 lbs.Ability to occasionally kneel.
