Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Risk Analyst (SOX) to join the Enterprise Risk Management Department. The role supports SOX Sections 302/404, documents and tests ICFR, creates narratives, RCMs, and coordinates with management and external auditors. Strong English/Spanish, analytic mindset, and COSO knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities include walkthroughs, control design evaluations, remediation tracking, and reporting under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 1–2 years in audit or risk.
• Experience with SOX/ICFR and COSO framework.
• Ability to document controls and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Document business processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform walkthroughs of in-scope processes.
• Prepare narratives, flowcharts, and Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs).
• Evaluate control design and remediation activities.
• Coordinate with Management and external auditors.
• Monitor deficiencies and remediation progress.
• Support ITGC and IT control scoping.
