SOX Program Management (SPM) is responsible for designing and overseeing Truist’s internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with SOX and FDICIA. This includes risk assessment, control documentation guidance, internal control evaluations, and monitoring changes to support compliance efforts.
The role involves executing governance programs, providing guidance on SOX requirements, supporting complex projects, and engaging with external auditors. Responsibilities include identifying controls, performing quality assurance of control testing, evaluating findings, and improving risk management processes.
