Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a SOX Compliance professional to lead and maintain the SOX program for the Grafton, MA and Dillon, SC locations. You will partner with process owners, maintain controls and documentation, perform testing, and coordinate remediation with internal and external auditors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 2–5+ years in accounting, with strong Excel and organizational skills to ensure 100% SOX compliance and timely periodic reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance.
• 2-5+ years’ experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of Syteline or comparable ERP system.
• Excellent organizational skills with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with process Owners to update and maintain process documentation / flowcharts and controls and where necessary perform walkthroughs to validate the existing SOX documentation and ensure that any changes are implemented.
• Identify potential SOX implications of changes in the control environment as a result of accounting regulations, internal company policies, system enhancements or implementations, company reorganizations.
• Perform management and remediation testing of internal controls to ensure timely completion and compliance with the annual SOX test plan.
• Work with internal and external auditors to assist with the coordination of audit timing, results of management and remediation testing and SOX reporting.
• Maintain and update all aspects of the internal SOX reporting system
• Assist with the production of periodic reporting and status updates as required
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as required
• Communications and problem solving daily
• Issue checks weekly
• Upkeep all files for future use
• Ensure 100% SOX compliance
• Other duties as required by manager
