Job summary

Welltower in Toledo, OH seeks a Staff, Compliance to support SOX controls reviews, ensuring audit readiness and effective communication between control owners and audit teams. You will work closely with operating partners and accounting teams to uphold compliance standards.

You will assist with IPE documentation, strengthen the control framework, and provide actionable feedback to improve documentation and processes as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience; public accounting or internal audit preferred.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA) preferred.
• Experience with audit/compliance software (Yardi, OneStream, Blackline) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of financial SOX controls and validate effectiveness.
• Assist in documenting controls and Information Produced by Entity (IPE) requirements.
• Coordinate between control owners and auditors for clear communication.
• Support and improve control documentation and processes with stakeholders.
