Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a SOX Compliance Director to own and lead the company's Sarbanes-Oxley program. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of accounting, controls, and cross-functional collaboration, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer.

You will design, implement, and maintain a scalable SOX 404 framework to position Palmetto for PCAOB audits. The ideal candidate has deep ICFR knowledge, a builder's mindset, and credibility to engage executives while driving remediation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in SOX/compliance/internal/external audit with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of PCAOB standards, COSO framework, and SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SOX 404 program, including scoping, risk assessment, controls documentation, testing, and remediation.
• Develop and maintain process narratives, risk/control matrices, and flowcharts for in-scope processes.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen ITGCs and application controls.
