Job summary

Realty Income seeks an experienced Staff Internal Auditor to support the SOX compliance program and drive innovation through AI analytics and process automation. You will gain broad exposure to a Fortune 500 REIT, developing expertise in internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

The role blends in-office work four days a week with optional remote Fridays, offering learning and growth across Finance and Corporate functions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in public accounting, external audit, internal audit, risk advisory, or SOX compliance.
• Experience performing SOX testing and evaluating internal controls preferred.
• Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support SOX compliance program; maintain risk and control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts.
• Conduct walkthroughs with business stakeholders to document processes and evaluate control design.
• Perform SOX testing and assess design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Coordinate document requests, manage testing timelines, and communicate with owners.
• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
