Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is hiring a full-time Project Manager & Supervisor for Right of Way projects in the Southwest, primarily Arizona and New Mexico. You will oversee land acquisition, negotiations, and title research, while managing project financials and client relationships.

The role includes leading a Right of Way team and driving sales opportunities. The position requires officing in Phoenix or Tucson with some travel, and experience in utility and renewables sectors is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications or related field from an accredited university (experience may substitute).
  • Arizona and New Mexico Real Estate Brokers License highly preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years related Right of Way experience (3 years managing linear utility Right of Way projects preferred).
  • Must identify and implement department process improvements; provide technical assistance and resolve issues.
  • Oversee and support a staff of at least 5 with performance/workload management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client expectations related to the deliverable.
  • Maintain existing clients by managing expectations and relationships.
  • Expand current business by soliciting new business and new lines.
  • Read and interpret title and appraisal reports and land surveys.
  • Coordinate team efforts including databases, meetings and reports.
  • Direct land acquisition subcontractor management.
  • Participate in public involvement meetings.
  • Manage all communications with internal teams, subcontractors and clients.
  • Initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling and objective setting.
  • Coordinate with client’s Right-of-Way department and internal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Travel to project sites, meetings and client events as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
