Position Overview

The Regional Wastewater Treatment Business Class Leader will oversee large projects, provide technical support, and contribute to national practice groups and professional organizations. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Lead strategic client engagement and participate in professional activities in the Southwest Region.
2. Manage large multidisciplinary wastewater treatment projects, including planning, data analytics, and process modeling.
3. Serve as client and project manager for regional and national projects.
4. Support scope development, project execution, and resource planning.
5. Identify and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts for project support and technology development.
6. Engage in project pursuits, leveraging client relationships and technical expertise.
7. Manage and mentor wastewater treatment staff, ensuring quality deliverables.
8. Contribute to business development, staff management, and HDR’s technical quality programs.
9. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational initiatives.
10. Support other regional teams and participate in professional societies.

Qualifications

Preferred: 15+ years of wastewater experience, strong leadership, and client relationships in the Southwest U.S.

Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years of experience, professional registration, team management skills, and a commitment to HDR values.

Additional Information

This position can be based in any Southwest HDR office or remote. Compensation ranges from $170,000 to $287,000, depending on experience and location.
