Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Southwest Prescribed Fire Manager in Arizona and New Mexico to lead fire management efforts. This role involves strategic oversight of prescribed fire operations, ensuring alignment with ecological restoration goals and effective collaboration with various partners.

The selected candidate will also provide mentorship, conduct fire training, and engage with stakeholders to enhance fire management practices, fostering resilience in fire-adapted ecosystems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $92,000 based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire management and natural resource management.
• Must meet NWCG qualifications for Prescribed Fire Burn Boss Type 2.
• Experience in developing fire management strategies.
