Job summary

Trinity Consultants in the Southwest region is seeking a Field Botanist to perform botanical field surveys, vegetation mapping, and habitat assessments in support of environmental consulting projects across the Southwest. The role involves working independently and with multidisciplinary teams to ensure field data quality and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will collect data using GPS, GIS, and related tools, identify various plant species, and contribute to technical reports and regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Botany, Biology, Ecology, or Environmental Science required; Master's preferred.
Two years of professional environmental consulting or related field experience.
Experience in botanical field surveys and vegetation mapping in the Southwest.
Experience identifying Southwest plant species, including protected species.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and field data collection methods.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct botanical surveys and habitat assessments per requirements.
Identify native and sensitive plant species and document vegetation communities.
Collect and maintain botanical field data using GPS and GIS.
Prepare botanical survey reports, habitat assessments, and permit docs.
Coordinate field activities and train field personnel.
Maintain field notes and project documentation.
