Trinity Consultants is seeking a Field Botanist to perform botanical field surveys, vegetation mapping, habitat assessments, and environmental compliance monitoring across the Southwest region. The role can be based in Phoenix or Tucson offices and involves working independently and with multidisciplinary teams to support environmental consulting projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Botany, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field required; Master's preferred.
• Two years of professional environmental consulting or related field experience required.
• Experience conducting botanical surveys, vegetation mapping, or habitat assessments in the Southwest preferred.
• Experience identifying Southwest plant species, including sensitive/protected species, required.
• Familiarity with GPS data collection and GIS tools; ability to analyze field data and report findings.

Responsabilités

• Plan and conduct botanical field surveys, vegetation mapping, habitat assessments, and other botanical investigations per established methodologies and project requirements.
• Identify, document, and evaluate native, nonnative, sensitive, threatened, and endangered plant species and associated vegetation communities.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain botanical field data using GPS, GIS, and data collection tools.
• Evaluate habitat conditions and potential impacts to botanical resources and protected species.
• Conduct environmental compliance monitoring during construction and other activities to support permits and regulations.
• Coordinate field activities, provide technical guidance, and assist with training field personnel on botanical methods.
• Prepare and contribute to botanical survey reports, habitat assessments, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain accurate field notes, survey records, photographs, and mapping data in line with quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, staff, clients, and agencies on survey activities and findings.
• Complete assigned activities within scope, schedule, budgets, and safety requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and agency coordination as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of botanical survey methods and Southwest flora.
